Career Highlights

David started covering the banks sector in 2000 for Cazenove and later BJM achieving consistent ratings by institutional clients locally and internationally. In 2006 he joined Standard Bank as an executive undertaking strategic projects work and was later appointed as Head of Group Capital Management. After a two-year stint with HSBC as Head of MENA Banks Research, David re-joined SBG to head the Group Investor Relations function in 2013, later being appointed Head of Treasury and Capital Management, a position he held until March 2020.
