Marc is the Head of Equity Research at SBG Securities, managing a team of c.30 analysts across several emerging and frontier market economies. He joined SBGS following country equity management and sector coverage responsibilities at Credit Suisse Standard Securities, JPMorgan, and UBS. As analyst and team leader, Marc has received top rankings in external surveys (such as Institutional Investor, Extel and the Financial Mail) for coverage of the following sectors: Media & IT, Construction & Materials, Diversified Industrials, Transport & Automotive, Luxury Goods, Investment Holdings. Prior to his broking career, Marc worked as a management consultant in the corporate strategy practices of Booz Allen & Hamilton, Cap-Gemini/Mac Group, and Accenture. Marc was born and educated in the Netherlands (Honours degree in Economics from Rijks-Universiteit, Groningen) and the United States (University of California, Los Angeles), and he immigrated to South Africa in 1993.
