Christopher is an economist at the Standard Bank Group. He covers macroeconomic research, with his primary focus being East Africa. He functions in conjunction with a team of research analysts at Standard Bank Research, conducting macroeconomic research on specifically African countries. Prior to joining Standard Bank, Christopher was at the Central Bank of Kenya for 14 years in financial markets – in debt management, foreign exchange, and reserves management. Notably, he was the youngest ever member of the Foreign Exchange Reserves Investment Committee of the Central Bank of Kenya. He is a Fellow of the Milken Institute and International Finance Corporation Capital Markets programme, and was featured in the Milken Institutes 2018 “Power of Ideas” magazine. Christopher holds a graduate certificate in capital markets from The George Washington University School of Business, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Strathmore University in Kenya.
